Your Christmas gifts are science topics I’d loved at your age,
that explores things you normally can’t see.
The wand is a simplified version of what NASA probes use to determine magnetic directions & strengths.
I’m hearing you have a strong justice streak in your soul,
to match your intelligence.
When you were barely walking,
you saw a science book I’d gotten for your sister, filled with dynamic graphics;
I tamped down the fear of ripped pages – some tape could fix that & make great memories..
Instead, I was rewarded with an amazing sight;
You were carefully turning pages as carefully as carrying a butterfly.
For almost 20 minutes, before noticing your stuffed puppy was unattended & needed snuggling….
